What is Krav Maga?
Krav Maga is a hand to hand combat system. It was developed by the Israeli military to train its soldiers and civilians to deal with the deadly conflicts that continually occur in Israel.
After decades of revisions and improvements in the understanding of violent confrontation, threat level assesment and self defense scenarios, Krav Maga was created.
The English translation of Krav Maga is "Contact Combat". This method of self defense is practiced by many of our federal, state and local law enforcement agencies. It has also become one of the most popular civilian combat systems in the world.
Why Krav Maga?
Krav Maga is not considered to be a martial art but rather a self defense system that is highly effective, efficient and easy to learn in a short period of time.
This is what seperates Krav Maga from traditional martial arts. A student can become proficient in defending themselves without requiring many years to learn and understand. In our busy, modern world most people have less time to dedicate to their own training. Krav Maga offers a simple and effective way to train hard, drastically improve your fitness level and give you the ability to carry yourself with confidence. Many other martial arts promise these benefits, but Krav Maga truly delivers.
